This was great for then packaging up and emailing to users or publishing to SharePoint. Unfortunately, this feature is not available in PAx.<\/p>\n<p>That said, there are several options for automating report generation from Planning Analytics:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>TM1Web <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>There has been no change to the report export capability in TM1Web, which allows generation of subset-driven sheets and\/or books and retains all Excel formatting and print layout options. This option <em>does not<\/em> allow you to create multiple Excel books, only single books with multiple sheets.<\/p>\n<p>To use this feature, open any published report, click the blue hamburger icon in the upper-left corner of the screen, select Export, and then choose the export type (Slice to Excel, Snapshot to Excel, or Snapshot to PDF).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-548 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/quebit.com\/askquebit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/AutomatePA1-min-1024x429.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"605\" height=\"253\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Next, select the subsets that you\u2019d like to use to generate the report (this step is optional).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-549 size-full alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/quebit.com\/askquebit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/AutomatePA2-min.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"449\" height=\"402\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click OK to generate the report, which will be sent to your Downloads folder.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-550 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/quebit.com\/askquebit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/AutomatePA3-min-1024x542.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"605\" height=\"320\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Explorations in PAW<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) Explorations can be exported directly from the workspace to Excel. This option <em>does<\/em> allow you to export to both single and multiple Excel books, but no formatting is applied to the export. To use this feature, click the shortcut bar on any PAW Exploration and then click the Export icon.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-551 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/quebit.com\/askquebit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/AutomatePA4-min.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"904\" height=\"131\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the next dialog box, select Export to Excel, and then select the hierarchy or hierarchies to cycle through (note that this feature is compatible with PAW hierarchies as well as \u201ctraditional\u201d dimensions!), select Single or Multiple Excel files and click OK.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-552 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/quebit.com\/askquebit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/AutomatePA5-min.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"397\" height=\"535\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>ReportWORQ<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Both above options meet the very basic needs of report generation, but neither is a good alternative to Print Report.
