ReportWORQ doesn’t load automatically in Excel

ReportWORQ is a Microsoft Excel COM-Addin which is supposed to load automatically when running Excel.  However if an addin encounters an error and Excel believes that the addin is keeping you from using Excel properly then it may change the load behavior of the addin to manual. This is similar to a safe mode so that Excel can start and run properly while the problem is diagnosed. If this happens to you then to use ReportWORQ you will need to manually start the ReportWORQ addin in the COM-Addins screen.  However instead of manually starting the addin you can reset the load behavior back to automatic.

Important: This requires a change to the registry and caution should be exercised when working within the registry.

The reset the ReportWORQ COM-Addin back to automatic load perform the following steps:

1. Run regedit.exe from Start -> Run
2. Navigate the registry tree to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins\ReportWORQExcel.AddinModule
   1. Depending on the installation type the addin may be located in HKEY_CURRENT_USER instead of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
3. Right click the key LoadBehavior and choose Modify…
4. Change the value to a 3
5. Close Regedit
6. Restart Excel
