Planning Analytics Local, Workspace, and Excel Download Guide

This download guide will walk you through the steps of getting the download package for Planning Analytics Local (PAL), Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW), and Planning Analytics for Excel (PAx) from IBM Fix Central.

Please ensure that you have an active IBM ID as this will be required to access the downloads. If you do not have an IBM ID, please call (800) 426-7378 option 2, then option 2 again for assistance.

  1. Navigate to IBM Fix Central. https://www-945.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/
  2. Within the Select Product Section, select the ‘Analytics Solutions’ Product group.
  3. Wait for the next drop-down to appear (this may take a few seconds), and select IBM Planning Analytics Local
  4. Select 2.0 and All from the Installed Version and Platform drop-downs respectively. Click Continue.
  5. Select the Browse for fixes button and click ‘Continue’.
  6. When arriving at the Select fixes window, navigate to the Download options, and select ‘HTTPS’ download method.
  7. Select the latest version of Planning Analytics Local (PAL), Planning Analytics Workspace (PAWL), and Planning Analytics for Excel (PAX), and click Continue
  8. Navigate to the release level section and download the highlighted zip files for PAL, PAW, and PAX

The illustration below highlights the following packages:

  • PAL-2.0.6 for Windows (64-bit)
  • PAW-2.0.36 for Linux
  • PAx-2.0.36 (32 bit)

 

Download the PAW package corresponding with your PAW operating system: Linux or Windows 2016. Please note that PAW is optimized for Linux, therefore QueBIT strongly endorses Linux as the PAW OS of choice.

Prior to selecting a PAx package, determine your Microsoft Excel version: 32-bit or 64-bit. To identify the Microsoft Excel version, access File -> Account -> About Microsoft Excel.

Lastly, please note that the PAL and PAW are greater than 2GB each, so please allow for adequate time to download each file and save in a designated install file folder.
