Are you looking for professional ways to display your organization’s data within Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW)? Well, you have come to the right place!

When illustrating your complex operational and financial data, it helps to have a clean and consistent budgeting and forecasting presentation to drive planning efficiency. The tips below offer quick ways to enhance your planning process through four simple presentation techniques.

Single border template for great flexibility

When selecting a template to build your workspace, our research has shown that selecting the single border template provide the greatest amount of flexibility on the sheet. For example, when adding multiple cube views, the sheet will provide visible borders that “snap-to” upon release of the cube view.

Create a Layout Tab to drive consistency

When creating the layout tab, however you decide to design, the layout tab can be duplicated by right-clicking and selecting ‘Duplicate’. This is especially useful for propagating navigational button across the workspace.

Use pop-up text to guide end users

In a recent #askquebit article, we covered how to use pop-up text when space is at a premium on your workspace. Pop-up text can be used to provide additional instructions and information to the end user.

Remove header navigation for simplicity

Due to the ability to host many sheets in a single workbook, real estate on your PAW sheet may become confusing to navigate after initial creation. Many of our clients appreciate the ability to customize navigation throughout the workspace, and many choose to hide the Sheet Title tabs. This feature can be toggled on and off by navigating to Properties -> General Style-> Sheet Titles-> Click Show to Viewers.
